GI Home Federal Gets Two More Wins Saturday In Hastings

(Hastings, NE) - (GAME 1) - Grand Island Home Federal Bank defeated Norfolk Motor Company 10-1 on Saturday at Duncan Field, thanks in part to eight runs in the seventh inning. Bryson Walker singled, scoring one run; Gavin Ruether drew a walk, scoring one run; Carson Washburn doubled, scoring one run; Grayson Sack drew a walk, scoring one run; Ian Arends drew a walk, scoring one run; Walker singled, scoring two runs, and Ruether singled, scoring one run.

The win vs Norfolk Motor Company was the third time this week that GI has defeated Norfolk after taking a double header on Tuesday in Norfolk. 

Grand Island Home Federal Bank got on the board in the second inning after Adrian O’Brien induced Kingston Loften to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Brock Cushing earned the win for Grand Island Home Federal Bank. The pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight and walking three. Grand Island Home Federal Bank built a 5-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Greeley, CO's charge. Greeley, CO closed the gap by scoring on an error, a walk, a single, and a sacrifice fly.
