Tween Adventures at the GI Library

Grand Island, Neb. — “Adventure Begins at Your Library” is the theme to this year’s summer reading program, which means the Grand Island Public Library is offering an array of adventures for people of all ages in June. Tweens (kids ages 10-13) will have two exciting programs that require no registration!
There will be an Oreo tasting on June 27 at 2 p.m. Tweens can come and sample more than 12 different varieties of Oreos, including Sour Patch, Tiramisu and Space Dunk. This event is while supplies last.

On June 17 at 2 p.m., tweens will get an opportunity to travel back in time and play a live version of the Oregon Trail game. They will be split into groups where they will have to work together to make decisions and see if they can survive the journey to Oregon.
