“Today is a milestone day for the Nebraska State Patrol as we begin the 70th class in NSP history,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “We are proud to have these recruits join our team. Over the next six months, our troopers at the NSP Training Academy will provide the expert training they’ll need to serve Nebraska throughout their careers.”

The recruits of Camp 70 are:
Justin Beaird – Battle Creek                          Kelsee Colgrove – Spearfish, SD
Daniela Cuevas – South Sioux City               Jamie Garrison – Alda
Tyson Guzman – Omaha                              Ryan Hilliard – Wausa
Zachariah Johnson – Grand Island               Jordan Orduno – Ponca
Isaac Scharff – Lexington                             Jared Weber – Sidney

“The next six months will be challenging, but a career of unlimited opportunities awaits these new recruits,” said Captain Andy Ecklund, NSP Director of Training. “By the time they graduate, these eleven recruits will come together as a team as they acquire the skills and abilities necessary to continue the proud tradition of service of the Nebraska State Patrol.”

The Nebraska State Patrol basic recruit camp consists of hundreds of hours of classroom and practical instruction, including life-like scenarios designed to simulate situations troopers encounter while serving Nebraska. Camp 70 is scheduled to graduate on December 20, 2024.

Applications to join the next NSP class will open in August. Interested candidates can get information about the hiring process and connect with a trooper recruiter at NebraskaTroopers.com.
