St. Francis presents Angie Jepsen with DAISY Award
Grand Island— CHI Health St. Francis recognizes Emergency Department nurse Angie Jepsen, RN, its most recent DAISY Award recipient. Jepsen is recognized for excellence in nursing and providing above-and-beyond compassionate care to her patients and their families.
The hospital chooses one recipient monthly from the many nominations submitted by patients, families and staff.
A grateful patient writes: “My husband has extreme anxiety and fear of hospitals. Angie comforted him and ensured he was safe and in good hands. She felt like family was helping him. Like we knew her forever. She made sure we both knew what procedures were happening and was going to happen and made sure we understood everything clearly. All the while making us feel we were her top priority. If cloning was a thing, Angie should be cloned for every hospital in the world!”
