
Sen. Sasse wins final vote to be next U of Florida president

Nebraska U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse has won final approval to become the 13th president of the University of Florida.
Sasse, was confirmed for the post by the state university system Board of Governors on a voice vote yesterday
Sasse expects to resign his Senate seat in January.
His resignation will leave a vacancy, which Nebraska’s governor is required to fill. Outgoing Gov. Pete Ricketts said he’ll let Governor elect Jim Pillen choose the Senate replacement.
