Revelle Extended Through 2031, Huskers Finalize Coaching Staff

Nebraska Athletics announced Wednesday that Husker Softball Head Coach Rhonda Revelle has signed a contract extension that runs through the 2031 season. In addition, the softball program has finalized its coaching staff and responsibilities for the 2027 season.

Revelle, the winningest coach in Nebraska athletics history, earned the contract extension after leading the Huskers to one of their most prolific seasons in school history in 2026. Revelle’s 34th season at the helm of Nebraska softball was one of her best, as she brought the Big Red back to the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2013. NU posted a school-record 52 wins and was the Big Ten regular season and tournament champions.

“As we said when we had the privilege of naming the field at Bowlin Stadium in her honor, Rhonda Revelle is Nebraska Softball,” Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said. “Rhonda is not only a great leader of our softball program, but she is a world-class individual who elevates our entire athletic department in many ways. The trajectory of our program is at an all-time high coming off a record-breaking season and we are excited for the years ahead under the leadership of Rhonda and her outstanding staff.”

Revelle has also re-worked the responsibilities of her coaching staff, following the retirement of long-time assistant Lori Sippel in June. Revelle, who has called pitches for the majority of her 34 seasons, will increase her role with the Big Red’s pitchers. Diane Miller has been elevated to associate head coach, and Mandie Nocita was promoted to assistant coach. Olivia Ferrell and Jordy Frahm will also serve as assistant coaches, while Hannah Coor and Hannah Camenzind have been added as graduate assistants and Lauren Camenzind will be a graduate manager for the Huskers.

"I love Nebraska and am grateful to Troy and our administration for entrusting me to continue to lead the Red Team,” Revelle said. “I am passionate and energetic to continue our quest for excellence. We are blessed to have assembled the staff we have. They are talented, smart, hardworking and all in on Nebraska Softball. We are excited to get our team on the field and build something special together."

Miller will be entering her 19th season with the Huskers in 2027 and was part of the 2026 Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year, along with Revelle, Ferrell and Sippel. Nebraska’s offense, mentored by Miller, finished the 2026 season ranked in the top 25 nationally in seven different stat categories. Miller’s 2025 offense is at the top of the Nebraska single-season record charts in batting average, runs scored, doubles, home runs, extra-base hits, RBIs, slugging percentage, and total bases.

Nocita has been with the Big Red for four seasons and was previously the director of video technology, analytics, and player development. She will continue her responsibilities with video analytics while also taking on various assistant coaching roles. Prior to her time with Nebraska, Nocita was the head coach at Buena Vista for eight years and grabbed a 148-130 career record. She was an assistant coach at Missouri Western State from 2011-14.

Ferrell will enter her fourth season as an assistant coach for NU in 2027 after playing for the Huskers from 2018-22 and was on the Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 2026.

Frahm was announced as an assistant coach on June 5, immediately following the conclusion of her playing career. As a team captain, she helped Nebraska to its eighth Women’s College World Series berth and first since 2013, along with a school-record 52 wins. Frahm was the 2026 NFCA and USA Softball Player of the Year and the Honda Award Winner for Softball.

Coor and the Camenzind twins were all integral parts of the 2026 squad that advanced to the WCWS and finished fifth in the country, as all three started every game for the Huskers.
