Rans Sanders Transfers to Nebraska

(Lincoln, NE) - The pipeline of Grand Island baseball players to play at Nebraska will continue with a new addition via the transfer portal. On Sunday Northwest grad Rans Sanders announced that he would be leaving the Omaha Maverick baseball program to join Will Bolt and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Sanders who just finished up his junior season at Omaha appeared in 13 games for the Mavs. He finished with an official 2-1 record, 4 saves, and a 3.80 ERA in 23.2 innings pitched. The 5-10 190lb right-handed pitcher started his collegiate career at Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas. In his two years with the Thunderbirds, he pitched 50 innings and had 58 total strikeouts.
Thank you to the UNO coaches for believing in me and giving me an opportunity. After careful consideration I decided to enter the transfer portal and would like to announce that I will be continuing my academic and baseball career at the University of Nebraska. @Husker_Baseball pic.twitter.com/Yoou4NoXJo
