Progress Made On Courthouse Project

More progress was made yesterday on the Hall County Courthouse project as Hall Co Commissioners have zeroed in on the location as well as which offices will be included.
The location will remain downtown, whether it’s an addition to the existing historic building or a separate structure, commissioners have agreed to move away from the idea of building east by the law enforcement center.
Much of that decision was based on discussions about which offices will be included in the facility.
The progress Tuesday followed months of back and forth with commissioners, judges, the GI legal community, and the architects.
One hurdle left unanswered with the downtown location is whether or not they’ll be able to close Pine Street as they await a traffic study from the state.
