Leftover big game permits available Aug. 5

Hunters may purchase leftover Nebraska big game permits beginning Aug. 5.

These 2026 permits, which remain from earlier application and purchase periods, may be purchased within permit limits starting at 10 a.m. Central time until they sell out.

Eligible landowners may purchase any remaining limited landowner antelope permits online or at a Nebraska Game and Parks Commission office. Eligible landowners may purchase any remaining limited elk permits only at the Northwest District office in Alliance.

The following permits are available, by species, type and quantity:

General Elk

Available to residents only: Unit 8 Antlerless Only, 7; Unit 10 Early Antlerless Only, 7; and Unit 10 Late Antlerless Only, 1.

Landowner Elk

Available to eligible resident and nonresident landowners: Unit 2 Antlerless Only, 4; Unit 4 Antlerless Only, 5; Unit 9 Antlerless Only, 1; and Unit 10 Antlerless Only, 1. These may be purchased only at the Alliance office.

Landowner Antelope

Available to eligible resident and nonresident landowners: Banner North, 3; Box Butte East, 1; Cheyenne, 1; Garden, 1; and North Sioux, 1.

Deer

Available to nonresidents only: Loup West firearm, 8; Statewide Archery, 225; and Statewide Muzzleloader, 109.
