Kansas Law Enforcement Aid GI Police in Sex Trafficking Arrest

On 5/1/24, Investigators with the Grand Island Police Department with the assistance of the Norton County Kansas Sheriff’s Office, served an arrest warrant on Logan Runnion (34 years old) at his residence in Norton, KS.  Along with the arrest warrant, a search warrant was also served to obtain evidence of the crimes being committed.  This recovered evidence was transported back to the Grand Island Police Department for further processing.  Logan Runnion was taken into custody on the warrant by the North County KS Sheriff’s Department and booked into the Norton County KS Jail.  

This investigation was a month long investigation which started the first part of April 2024 when Logan Runnion, contacted a Grand Island Police Department Investigator’s undercover social media account.  The communication between Logan Runnion and the undercover officer posing as an underage juvenile female led to evidence of the crimes in which he was arrested.  

Logan Runnion will need to be extradited to NE and charged in Hall County NE Court with the following offenses:

 Sex Trafficking of a Minor [28-831] IB FELONY  3 Counts
 Enticement by Electronic Communication Device [28-833] IV FELONY X  8 Counts
 Sexual Assault; Use of Electronic Communication Device [28-320.02] ID FELONY  3 Counts
