Powerful left-handed hitter Kacie Hoffmann is the newest member of the Nebraska softball team. An Elkhorn native, Hoffmann comes to Lincoln after spending the last three seasons at Arkansas. She will have two years of eligibility at Nebraska after sitting out last season due to injury.

Hoffmann played in 106 games with 96 starts at Arkansas, starting 84 games in right field and 12 as the designated player. She produced 63 hits, 16 doubles, one triple, 15 home runs and 47 RBIs with the Razorbacks while slugging .488. Fifty-one percent of her hits at Arkansas went for extra bases.

“Kacie is powerful. She is a true slugger from the left side,” Revelle said. “The ball flies off her bat, and she can impact the game immediately with her explosiveness. It is heartwarming to welcome this homegrown Husker to the Red Team.”

Hoffmann played in 51 games with 42 starts as a freshman in 2022, when she led all Arkansas freshmen in nearly every offensive category. She hit .273 in her first season with five doubles, one triple, eight home runs and 20 RBIs with a .555 slugging percentage.

Hoffmann helped the Razorbacks to the SEC Tournament title as a freshman, earning a spot on the all-tournament team after going 3-for-8 with a triple and a home run. She then helped Arkansas win an NCAA Regional with a home run in each of the Razorbacks’ two wins over Oregon.

As a sophomore in 2023, Hoffmann produced 18 extra-base hits, finishing with 11 doubles, seven home runs and 27 RBIs. Hoffmann sat out the 2024 season while recovering from offseason surgery.

Hoffmann played her high school ball for Elkhorn South High School, where she set school career records for batting average (.464), doubles (43), home runs (33), RBIs (150) and runs (123). She also set season records for batting average (.612), home runs (14), RBIs (50) and runs (42) as a senior.
