Home Federal Earns A7 Area Championship
Grand Island Home Federal picked up its third run-rule victory of the A7 Area Senior Tournament in a 10-1 victory over Kearney on Tuesday.
Home Federal scored in every inning in improving to 32-9. Gabe Ruiz tossed four innings of three-hit ball for the win. He struck out five.
Grayson Sack led a nine-hit attack by going 3-4 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored. Ethan Mader was 2-3 with two runs batted in an a run scored.

Grand Island will join host Kearney as part of the National Division State tournament beginning Saturday. Hastings will play at the American Division event in Elkhorn. Official pairings are expected Wednesday.
