Hastings SB sweeps the Aurora Triangular

Hastings flexed its muscles with three home runs in taking a pair at the Aurora Triangular. The Tigers homered twice in the opener in a 15-1 win over Aurora. Brooke Ochsner went 2-3 homered, drove in three and scored twice. Grayce Beck homered and drove in five.  Freshman Ella Tinsman struck out 13 in the five-inning wn.  Beck homered again and drove in four in an 8-3 victory over GICC.

The Crusaders edged the Huskies in the late game 6-5. GICC took an early 3-0 lead. Aurora rallied to go up 5-4 after four. The Crusaders plated two in the top of the fifth. Aurora loaded the bases, but couldn't scored in the bottom of the inning as the game ended due to time limit.  

Winning pitcher Logan Rainforth went 3-4 and drove in four to pace GICC. Anna Tibbetts and Jacie Palik each had two hits. 

Adi Fahrnbruch became the single season home run record holder in Aurora history with a go ahead shot in the fourth. Ashlynn Kottwitz crushed her first homer. Adrianna Brei went 2-3 with a double.
