Hastings Five Points Bank run rules Grand Island Home Federal

(Hastings, NE) It was a tough Thursday night for the Grand Island Home Federal Senior American Legion baseball team as Hastings Five Points Bank won a four and half-inning affair 9-0. All of the runs for Hastings would come in the first three innings. One run in the bottom of the first, three more in the bottom of the 2nd, and five more in the bottom of the third inning. Luke Brooks was efficient for Hastings Five Points Bank pitching five innings on 76 pitches only giving up two hits, walking two, and striking out four Home Federal batters. Five Points Bank was led at the plate by Braden Rutt who had two hits and three RBIs on the night, followed up by Jaxen Gangwish with two hits and two RBIs. Hastings is now 12-0 on the season. Grand Island only had two hits as a team on the night. One from Zenon Sack and the other by Brayden Lee. Grand Island slips to 6-3 on the season and will be back in action this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday participating in the Bellvue East Tournament.  The next action on KRGI 1430/105.5 & krgi.com will be on Wednesday, June 15th at North Platte for a double header starting at 4:45 pm.
