Grand Island Pro Team Design Falls To Hastings, Season Comes To An End

(Scottsbluff, NE) - Grand Island Pro Team Design had trouble keeping up with Hastings Johnson Imperial Homes  in a 13-4 loss on Saturday. The loss for Grand Island eliminated Pro Team Design from the A7 tournament. 

Hastings Johnson Imperial Homes  jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Cooper Larson singled, scoring one run, and Ian Waechter-Cass tripled, scoring three runs.

Hastings Johnson Imperial Homes  added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Mason Mahoney singled down the right field line, and Larson doubled, each scoring two runs.

Hastings Johnson Imperial Homes  added one run in the third after Charlie Ratzlaff stole home.

Corbin Harpham pitched three innings in relief for Grand Island Pro Team Design. The reliever allowed six hits and five runs while, striking out four and walking three. Carson Reisinger stepped on the bump first for Grand Island Pro Team Design. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and seven runs (six earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one. Quinn Simmons began the game for Hastings Johnson Imperial Homes . The starting pitcher gave up four hits and four runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking three.

Harpham went 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in.
