The Grand Island Professional Fire Fighters will be doing their yearly delivery of warm coats to local elementary schools on Wednesday, November 29th, at 8:30 AM at Jefferson Elementary School.

This is the 11th year the Grand Island Professional Fire Fighters have worked with Nebraska FOP Lodge #24 (Grand Island), Operation Warm, and Grand Island
Public Schools to provide winter coats.

This winter, Grand Island Fire and Police Unions provided 120 coats for local elementary kids. Through money raised from fundraising events, Grand Island Professional Firefighters were able to raise $2,300 so elementary students could have a warm winter.

For 24 years, Operation Warm has provided over 5,000,000 million coats across the United States. Operation Warm’s mission is to provide warmth, confidence, and hope through basic need programs that connect underserved children to the community resources they need to thrive.
