GIPS Resolves Threat At Senior High

A threat was investigated at Grand Island Senior High yesterday. 

Officials were made aware of a student was sharing upsetting social media posts and manipulating the identity of another student. Additionally, the instigating student posted about a potential threat of violence towards the school.

Officials immediately began working with the Grand Island Police Department (GIPD) to investigate. 

All staff and students remained safe. Learning and classroom activities were not disrupted. 

The student involved was removed from school and will be facing consequences and receiving the support they need.
