GICC Girls Finish 7th At Axtell Invite

(Axtell, NE) - GICC girls wrestling participated at the Axtell Invite on Saturday, January 25th. The Crusaders finished 7th out of 14 teams with a team score of 43. Southwest girls finished on top with 123 points, Kearney was 2nd with 77 points, and Ansley Litchfield was 3rd with 60 points.
The top finisher for the Crusaders was Madalyn Renz winning 170. In the championship match, Renz defeated Sofia McDonalds of SEM (MD 11-0). Josephine Sielaff finished in 4th place for GICC at 155. Sielaff fell in the 3rd place match to Malynn Boyles of Ansley Litchfield by a 6-5 decision.
