Offense: Terroristic Threats
Victim: 36 year old male Incident #: L24051534
Offender: Othman Mohamad
Date and Time of Incident: 5/19/24 @ 23:23
Location of Incident: W 1st St & N Walnut St
Brief Narrative: GIPD Officers responded to 1st St and Walnut St to a disturbance where individuals were engaging in a physical assault with a knife. Officers were informed of a male individual wearing a gray hood and brandishing a knife. Officers made contact with the male, identified as Othman Mohamad, at 2nd St and Elm St who was given loud verbal commands to walk backwards; however, he failed to adhere. A bystander who was passing by witnessed Othman and the victim engaging in a confrontational stance as though they were preparing to fight. He then observed Othman wielding a knife at the victim. The victim had confronted Othman about the legitimacy of Othman's phone claiming it was his phone. Their conversation escalated, as the victim and Othman were about to fight until Othman produced a knife and threatened to kill the victim while wielding the knife at him. Othman was placed under arrest and upon searching his person, search incident to arrest, nothing was found on his person. Othman Mohamad was arrested for Terroristic Threats, Use Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony and Obstruct a Peace Officer.

Location of Incident: W 4th & N Greenwich
Brief Narrative: On 5/17/2024 victim reported that her ex-husband used his vehicle to strike her vehicle while driving west bound on 4th St. near Greenwich St. The victim stated she feared for her safety due to him using his vehicle to try and push her into cross traffic at red lights and intersections. The victim reported no injuries from the impact from her vehicle being struck in the rear. The suspect used his vehicle in an attempt to cause physical harm to the victim. This is an ongoing investigation, The suspect has not been contacted at this time.

Victim: 26 year old female Incident #: L24051392

Location of Incident: 415 Cherry St; Apt E26
Brief Narrative: GIPD Officer's were contacted at the Law Enforcement Center referencing a theft. An adult female reported an estimated $2,300 was stolen from her. Case is open.

Victim: State Glass Incident #: L24051383
Date and Time of Incident: between 4/26/24 & 5/17/24
Location of Incident: 612 E 4th St
Brief Narrative: Reporting party reported a forged check to have been cashed from the State Glass bank account. Case is open.

Offense: Fraud
Victim: 51 year old male Incident #: L24051366
Date and Time of Incident: between 5/16/24 & 5/17/24
Location of Incident: 3111 College St; Apt 60
Brief Narrative: Officers responded to 3111 College St Apt 60 for a report of fraud. Contact was made with the victim regarding a recent transaction that had taken place. He stated that an individual had deposited $2,200 into his bank account and then canceled the checks, leaving the victim with having to pay the bank back.

Offender: Austin D Ellis
Date and Time of Incident: 5/18/24 @ 22:21
Location of Incident: 2118 Sherman Blvd
Brief Narrative: Officers contacted Austin Ellis at 2118 Sherman Blvd. Ellis was taken into
custody for his three active warrants. During a search incident to arrest, officers located a
clear tube filled with suspected methamphetamine on his person. Ellis was arrested for
Possession Controlled Substance and Hall County Warrants and Adams County Warrants.

Victim: 12 year old female & 11 year old female Incident #: L24051509
Date and Time of Incident: 5/19/24 @ 18:52
Location of Incident: Within City Limits
Brief Narrative: On 5/19/2024 at approximately 1852 hours, Officers were dispatched to a City residence reference a Sex Offense. Upon arrival, Officers met with a 12 year old juvenile female and an 11 year old juvenile female. The juveniles advised that an unknown male had added them on Snapchat and was sending nude videos.
