Offense: Terroristic Threats / Assault

Location of Incident: 114 Lakeview Cir; Apt 3
Brief Narrative: On 11/08/2024, Officers responded to 114 Lakeview Cir Apt 3 in reference to a disturbance. Upon Officer arrival the parties would be separated, it was advised that the son got into a physical altercation with his mother and father. It was advised that the mother was struck multiple times in the torso with a closed fist. The father was scratched during the altercation. This physical altercation occurred in front of a juvenile male negligently placing him in danger. It was also reported that during the physical altercation the male threatened the life of his mother. The mother and father did not wish to pursue criminal action.

Location of Incident: 2642 Carleton Ave; Apt 14
Brief Narrative: On 11/08/24, at approximately 20:48 Officer was dispatched to 2642 Carleton Ave Apt 14, in reference theft. Reporting party claimed 4 speakers were stolen out of his garage. No suspect could be identified at this time. Total value stolen is $1,758. Case is open.

Brief Narrative: On 11/10/2024, officer responded to 1904 N Diers; Pumpers, referencing a report of an assault that took place in Grand Island. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the female victim who stated that Augustine Trejo threw two items at her. One item hit her in the head and caused her pain. The other item hit her in the breast causing pain and redness. Officers observed injuries on the female’s body that were consistent with her allegations. The female alleges that Augustine told her she was lucky he did not break her teeth in. The female states she has a child in common with Augustine. Augustine was arrested Domestic Assault 3rd Degree w/Priors.

Location of Incident: Stagecoach Rd & Chanticleer St
Brief Narrative: On 11/09/2024 around 2321 hrs, an officer observed a Ford Mustang traveling Southbound on Locust St in excess of the speed limit. A traffic stop was attempted in the area of Wyandotte St and Locust St. The vehicle fled from the traffic stop at a high rate of speed and into a residential area. The traffic stop was terminated.

Location of Incident: W Stolley Park Rd & S Blaine St
Brief Narrative: Officers attempted a traffic stop on a Ford Mustang near the intersection of Blaine Street and Commerce for speeding. The Mustang fled at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at a red light at Stolley Park Road. Due to the reckless driving, the traffic stop was terminated. This same Mustang was later involved in a pursuit with the Nebraska State Patrol.

Brief Narrative: On 11-09-2024 at approximately 2355 hours, officers responded to 2620 W Faidley Ave, SFMC to a report of an assault. Juvenile male was struck in the head by a Orbeez's gun splitting his head causing him to get staples in his head. Case is open.

Offense: Counterfeit Currency

Location of Incident: 174 W 3rd St
Brief Narrative: Ace Hardware reported they located a counterfeit $100 bill while counting cash drawers. It was reported the bill was passed the day prior but unknown what time and register nor who passed it. Ace advised they would notify the Police if they found information on who passed the bill.

Offender: Luis Arenas-Castiblanco
Date and Time of Incident: 11/11/24 @ 16:35
Location of Incident: 2250 Diers Ave
Brief Narrative: On 11-11-2024 at or around 1635 hrs, Officer responded to 2250 N. Diers Ave (Walmart) in reference to a removal of subject call for service. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with Walmart staff who claimed Luis Arenas-Castiblanco threatened to commit a crime of violence which was terrorizing. In addition, it was determined, Luis was wearing shoes from the store that he did not pay for. Once placed into custody the officer attempted to guide Luis out of the store. Luis pulled his body away from the officer and went dead weight. Luis was placed under arrest for Terroristic Threats (3 Counts), Theft by Shoplifting and Obstructing a Police Officer.

Location of Incident: Within City Limits
Brief Narrative: A female reported being sexually assaulted within Grand Island. Case is under investigation.
