Offense: Vehicle Theft
Victim: 60 year old female Incident #: L24030484
Date and Time of Incident: 3/7/24 @ 10:00
Location of Incident: 328 Redwood Rd
Brief Narrative: Victim reported her (possibly) unsecured grey 2022 Dodge Durango (which she valued at $52,000.00) was stolen from her driveway and that she had probably left the key fob inside of it. Case is open.

Offense: Sexual Assault
Victim: 5 year old female Incident #: L24030501
Date and Time of Incident: 3/7/24 @ 15:00
Location of Incident: Within City Limits
Brief Narrative: On 3/7/2024 at 1649 hours Officers would respond to a residence reference a sex assault. It was found that a 14 year old juvenile male would attempt to subject his 5 year old sister to a sexual assault in the home. It was found that the offender knew or should have known that the victim was mentally or physically incapable of resisting or appraising the nature of his conduct. This will remain an open investigation at this time.

Offense: Fraud/Adult Abuse
Victim: 75 year old female Incident #: L24030483

Location of Incident: 3423 Kelly St
Brief Narrative: Victim along with daughter and son in law came to the police station to make a report of alleged exploitation of a vulnerable adult. They claimed parties have colluded together to steal over $85,000 from the victim over several years. Case is under investigation.

Offense: Identity Theft
Victim: 21 year old male Incident #: L24030491
Date and Time of Incident: 3/7/24 @ 14:39
Location of Incident: 1522 S Lincoln Ave, Apt 8
Brief Narrative: On 3/7/2024 victim came to the Law Enforcement Center to report that someone had hacked into his Verizon phone account and purchased an Apple I phone 15. Later the suspect contacted the victim to have him send the phone to Miami FL. while impersonating a Verizon employee.

Offense: Arson
Victim: Incident #: L24030243
Date and Time of Incident: 3/4/24 @ 14:34
Location of Incident: 3628 S Locust
Brief Narrative: Reporting party called GIEC to report a grass fire. Fire was determined to start from a road flare. Witness described a suspect vehicle in the area of where the fire started and left before the fire spread. Another witness was able to provide some video surveillance of suspect vehicle, matching described suspect vehicle. Fire was mainly contained by GIFD with minimal property damage with the exception of trees, wooden fence posts, and grass pastures.
