Brief Narrative: On 07/16/2024 around 2000 hours, Officers responded to Willow Rising in reference to a sex offense. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the reporting party and her juvenile daughter. The juvenile stated that the suspect had tried to convince her to perform sexual acts on him in exchange for items of her choice. Joseph Di Ferdinando was arrested for Intentional Child Abuse, 3rd Degree Sexual Assault and Sex Trafficking Of A Minor.

Offender: Two - 17 year old males

Location of Incident: 1122 W 5th St
Brief Narrative: On 7/16/24 at approximately 2355 hrs Officers were dispatched to 1122 W. 5th in reference to a disturbance there. Officers arrived and contacted two juvenile males who were both found to be under the influence of alcohol. Juvenile male #1 would resist officers attempting to detain him by trying to pull away from officers. He would also attempt to prevent officers from placing him in the back seat of a patrol car. While attempting to place
the juvenile male in the patrol car, he would kick an officer several times causing pain. Juvenile probation would be called and juvenile male would be placed in a juvenile detention facility. Juvenile male #2 would be transported to Grand Island Regional Medical Center for medical clearance and threatened to kill the officers who were on scene and their families. Juvenile Probation was also called for this juvenile male who would eventually be released back with
his parents. Juvenile male #1 arrested for Assault on a Police Officer-3rd Degree, Obstructing a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Minor in Consumption of Alcohol Juvenile male #2 arrested for Terroristic Threats

Offender: Brian Cueva & Luis & Alvarado-Lima

Location of Incident: E 1st St & N Pine St
Brief Narrative: On 07/16/2024, at approximately 14:00 hours, officer conducted a traffic stop on a black 2009 Nissan Altima with no plates or visible in-transits. Upon contacting the driver, who was later identified as Brian Cueva, he initially refused to identify himself, provide proof of insurance, and registration of the vehicle. Brian was ordered to exit the vehicle for failure to identify. Brian was eventually identified and did not provided any of the requested documentation. The passenger was later identified as Luis Alvarado-Lima who was appearing to move around in the vehicle upon officers approach. Luis was observed throwing an item from the front passenger side to the back of the vehicle, which was later identified as a bag of a white crystal substance. While speaking to Brian, Luis was observed jumping into the driver’s seat, and attempted to flee the traffic stop. Luis was tased and ordered out of the vehicle and placed into custody. While escorting Luis to the patrol vehicle he broke away from Officer’s grip and ran away. Officer yelled commands to stop or be tased again. Officers caught up to Luis after a brief foot pursuit and escorted back to the patrol vehicle were he was searched incident to arrest. A digital scale with crystalline residue was found in his short pockets. A search of the vehicle lead to the discovery of a two large bags containing a crystalline substance, that was later
confirmed to be Methamphetamine. Brian Cueva arrested for Driving During Revocation-2nd Offense, No Proof of Insurance, No Proof of Ownership
Luis Alvarado-Lima arrested for Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruct a Peace Officer, Resist Arrest1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana =<1 ounce ; 1st offense, Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Offense: Vehicle Theft
Victim: Kia of Grand Island Incident #: L24071490
Date and Time of Incident: 7/16/24 @ 11:09
Location of Incident: 3515 Old Potash Hwy
Brief Narrative: Unknown person/persons stole an unsecured white 2024 Kia Telluride (Estimated value $45,000.00) that had the keys in it, off the dealership lot. Vehicle was recovered un-damaged in Kearney by Kearney PD. Case is under investigation.
