GI Legion Teams Split at Cairo
The Centura Juniors rallied for two runs in the sixth for a 6-5 win over Grand Island Pro Team Design on Wednesday. The game was called due to the time limit.
There was no time limit in the seniors game as Grand Island U-Save Pharmacy held off Centura 9-7. The contest took over three hours to complete.
Starting pitcher Brody Meyer earned the win and hit a two-run homer. Four U-Save pitches combined to allow four hits. Jonny Rogers recorded the final four outs for his first save.
Bodie Millan, Emilio Romero, Nomar Quezada, and Keegan Inks each each had two his for U-Save. Jayden Peterson had two hits and knocked in three for Centura.
