Cranes Hold Off Sodbusters
The Grand Island Fightin' Cranes used a nine run fourth inning to take command in a 10-7 win over Hastings on Wednesday. Sawyer Slade hit the first Cranes' home run at Ryder Park. His three-run blast made it 8-2. Broxton Barrientos had a two-run single. Lake Cowman added a two run double as part of the big inning. Ian Rodriguez was 3-4, knocked in two, and scored twice. Ty Harmsen picked up the win in relief. Beau Blackwell earned a save in his first appearance of the year.
