Counterfeit Money Used at a St Paul Junk Jaunt Leads To Arrest

(St Pau, NE) - On Sunday, September 29th, St Paul police officers were dispatched to a Junk Jaunt for a report of counterfeit money being passed. The reporting party was able to identify the money as fake right away and contacted the St. Paul Police Department. A witness located the suspect's vehicle at another Junk Jaunt close by and contacted 9-1-1. Officers located the two female suspects. During the investigation, the Howard County Sheriff's Office's new K9 was deployed and gave a positive indication on the suspect's vehicle. Officers located suspected Methamphetamine and Marijuana. They also located $1,100 in counterfeit $100 bills. St Paul Police Department encourages community members if you have had a garage sale, make sure you check your bills.
