Community Vaping Educational Event-Aug. 6

Grand Island, NE--CHI Health St. Francis and the Hall County Tobacco Free Coalition explore the dangers of vaping at a free educational event for the community from 4 until 5 pm on Tuesday, August 6 at the Grand Island Public Library, 1124 W 2nd St.

“Learn the Truth: Vaping 101” exposes that most e-cigarette tobacco products contain nicotine–even brands claiming to be “nicotine-free.” The presentation will also discuss the health risks, including irreversible lung damage and disease, associated with this popular teen product.

E-cigarettes usage by adolescents has become an epidemic according to the American Lung Association–20% (5 million) of all youth use e-cigarettes, a 135% increase in just two years.

This presentation is free and open to the community. Pre-registration is not required.
