Buffalo County Make it Click

The Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office has approved the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office for a selective traffic enforcement grant.  The grant allows the Sheriff’s Office to utilize extra deputies for participation in the National Make it Click Mobilization.  The extra traffic enforcement will be conducted November 23 – December 1, 2024 at selected Buffalo County locations.  Deputies will target all traffic violations with an emphasis on issuing citations for occupant restraint violations.  The objective is to decrease the increasing trend of unrestrained passenger vehicle occupants in all seating positions by maintaining a constant trend of 97 (5 year rolling average in 2019-2023) through December 31, 2025 and December 31, 2026.
