Basketball: Adams Central Sweeps Northwest

(Grand Island, NE) - After almost two weeks of postponements and cancellations due to old man winter, the Northwest basketball teams finally got back on the hardwood Thursday night hosting Adams Central. The Patriots would claim both varsity contests as the girls would win 57-36 with the boys claiming victory 55-32. Up next for the Vikings will be the Central Conference tournament next Tuesday, January 23rd. The Northwest girls will host York at 6:00 pm, while the boys will travel to Hastings to take on Adams Central at 7:00 pm. Adams Central will be back in action on Saturday, January 20th at Grand Island Central Catholic. Double header action starts at 5:15 pm.
