Aurora BB Sweeps St. Paul

The Aurora basketball teams had successful 2025 debuts with wins over St. Paul.

The Aurora girls scored 13 in a row after trailing 1-0 on the way to a 39-19 win. Kendal Wineteer and Kaitlin Staehr each had nine to lead the Huskies. Charlee Wegner put in eight for the Wildcats.

The Aurora boys used a strong defensive effort in a 55-28 win. St. Paul had cut a 12 point deficit to seven in the third quarter before the Huskies scored the next 21. Booker Scheierman put in 21. Cannon Allen and Ryan Staehr each added 10. Gage Sack led the Wildcats with 12. 

Next coverage of Aurora will be Thursday at Milford on 97.3 the Wolf. 

St. Paul will be featured Tuesday against Central City on Country 96.
